Egyptian Customs Instructions: ACI (Advance Cargo Information) System

From Thursday 1 January 2026, Egyptian Customs mandates that all air cargo shipments destined for Egypt include the following three elements in the shipment messages at both the Master Air Waybill (FWB) and House Air Waybill (FHL) levels:
 

ACID number

The ACID number is a 19-digit number issued by the Egyptian Tax Authority uniquely identifying all Egypt registered importers.

Consignees can get the ACID here.
 

Consignor Code

Either VAT or commercial registration number issued by the appropriate authority for the exporter in origin country.

Consignee Code

A 9-digit number issued by the Egyptian Tax Authority uniquely identifying all registered importers in Egypt, e.g. 123456789. This is only applicable for consolidated shipments.

Example: OCI/EG/CNE/T/123456789

As of January 2026, any shipment messaging that does not comply with the above requirements – in form and in content – will need to be held until the required data elements are available. An FWB/FHL correction charge will be raised.
